year we are asking Kids and Parents for the "Kids
Day" Event on Sat. May 12/07 to please donate
a Loonie or Twoonie. The more Loonies we collect,
the more Kids go to Summer/ Nature Camp at "Camp
Kawartha". Please watch for our donation boxes
at the day of the event.

What
a Great Day!
The
annual "Skate With The Petes" free event
sponsored by TD Canada Trust in partnership with
"Kids Day" was a very successful,
fun-filled day for over 300 kids and parents.
Starting
with Terilyn Spooner/ Blue Diamond Vocal Studio,
the enthusiastic crowd skated to a mix of musicals,
country and popular songs by performers in colourful
theatrical costumes.
The
Petes in their TD jerseys mixed with the skating
crowd, signing autographs for the kids on T-shirts,
calendars, pictures and hockey sticks. 20 free prizes
were given away throughout the event from Peterborough
Petes and "Kids Day".
The
crowd was keen to participate in the ice games as
they raced to the starting line. Petes and kids
joined in teams for the fun of the "Relay Race"
and "Over and Under" games as the audience
cheered. What a great day!
The
annual TD Canada Trust warm-up jersey auction finalized
the winning bidders. This year $4,555 was raised
with proceeds split between the Petes' Education
Fund and Camp Kawartha.
"Skate
with the Peterborough Petes" Monday March 12th,
1:30pm-3:00pm at The Peterborough Memorial Centre.
This free event is a fun family skate with the Peterborough
Petes and the public.
TD
Canada Trust sponsors and partners with The
Petes- "The Peterborough Petes Warm up Jersey"
Silent Auction that is held throughout the year
now running in it's 4th successful year. The end
goal is to raise money for both The Peterborough
Petes Education Fund plus TD Canada Trust
Children's Charities in Peterborough.
This year at the event, TD Canada Trust will
also sponsor and partnership with "Kids Day"
with proceeds to go to "Camp
Kawartha", a non- profit organization dedicated
to outdoor adventure programs and camp life. The
goal is to send as many kids to Summer Camp as we
can.
For the skate this year, we have added some extra
fun for everyone, with entertainment, kids ice games
and prizes. The "Skate with the Peterborough
Petes" event opens at 1:30pm with Terilyn Spooner/
Blue Diamond Vocal Studio/ kids musical theatre
and introductions from Peterborough Petes, TD
Canada Trust and Kids Day. Peterborough
Petes will interact with the public, sign autographs,
play ice games and giveaway prizes. See you on the
