Thanks for all your Support
Making "Kids Day" extra special for kids, parents and our Peterborough Community

"Kids Day" 2007 2nd year annual event was a great success once again. We had 3,000 kids and parents taking part on Sat. May 12th at the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre. The goal was providing children with educational, interactive, fun workshops that raise awareness about health, safety and the environment.

Thank You and your business or organization, for making "Kids Day" free event extra special for kids, parents and our Peterborough Community. We could not do it without all your generous Sponsorship Support by providing financial, services, interactive workshops, products and gift certificates for "Kids Day" another successful year behind us. We have had excellent feedback about "Kids Day" 2007 over the last couple of weeks from sponsors, interactive workshops, kids and parents. Five new businesses are already interested in doing an interactive workshop for "Kids Day" 2008.

I would like to give a special thanks to TD Canada Trust, joining us as a major Sponsor for "Kids Day" 2007, Ivy McGregor, Branch Manager, at the Peterborough Square and TDCT Volunteers helping out for the day. Ivy at TD Canada Trust is an outdoor enthusiast, young at heart and known for her work with a number of TD Canada Trust Children Charities in the Peterborough Community and now "Camp Kawartha".

"Kids Day" raised $2,717.00 through both a jump-start and donation boxes. TD Canada Trust, Ivy McGregor, Branch Manager, at the Peterborough Square Sponsored and Partnered with "Kids Day". For TD Canada Trust Children Charities this year with "Kids Day", proceeds go to "Camp Kawartha", a non-profit organization dedicated to outdoor adventure programs and camp life. Kids have been chosen from Kawartha Haliburton Children's Aid Society and Big Brothers and Big Sisters to go to "Camp Kawartha". We have booked 6 spots for 3 Girls and 3 Boys to go to Nature/Summer camp at "Camp Kawartha" for 4 nights and 3 days in August. This is a great opportunity for the kids to experience camp life, meet new friends and explore hands-on nature. See "Camp Kawartha"
