year we are asking Kids and Parents for the "Kids
Day" Event on Sat. May 12/07 to please donate
a Loonie or Twoonie. The more Loonies we collect,
the more Kids go to Summer/ Nature Camp at "Camp
Kawartha". Please watch for our donation boxes
at the day of the event.

"Kids Day" for Health, Safety and Environment
free event is in it's 2nd Year on Saturday May
12th, 2007 from 10:00am - 4:00pm at Peterborough
Sport and Wellness Centre. It was a very successful
first year with hundreds of Peterborough's families
coming out to support health, safety and environmental
awareness for children.
We
had over 1,500 participants in 2006 and doubled
to 3,000 in 2007. The purpose of "Kids Day"
is to teach kids the importance of being active,
feeling safe in our community and exploring our
natural environment. In 2007 we have 32 interactive
workshops with an additional 8 new educational,
fun, hands-on activities to explore (for Kids 2yrs
-12yrs and parents).

Major Sponsor is TD Canada Trust, Ivy McGregor,
at Peterborough Square joining"Kids
Day" 2007. Both are young at heart, active
outdoor enthusiasts with a zest for life and a love
for kids. "Kids Day" explores new
ways of educating children in an interactive hands-on
fun event day.
This
year we have chosen to sponsor "Camp
Kawartha" , a non-profit organization dedicated
to providing children with exceptional outdoor adventure
programs, activities and camp life. Kids will go
to Summer Camp/Nature Camp in August on Clear Lake
in the Kawarthas.
"Kids Day"
2007 raised $2,717.00
through both a jump-start and donation boxes.
