Skate With The Petes

The annual "Skate With The Petes" free event sponsored by TD Canada Trust in partnership with "Kids Day" was a very successful, fun-filled day for over 300 kids and parents.

Multimediate developed and implemented an extra program for the Skate in March 2007. The event opened with Terilyn Spooner/ Blue Diamond Vocal Studio, the enthusiastic crowd skated to a mix of musicals, country and popular songs by performers in colourful theatrical costumes.The Petes in their TD jerseys mixed with the skating crowd, signing autographs for the kids on T-shirts, calendars, pictures and hockey sticks. 20 free prizes were given away throughout the event from Peterborough Petes and "Kids Day".The crowd was keen to participate in the ice games as they raced to the starting line. Petes and kids joined in teams for the fun of the "Relay Race" and "Over and Under" games as the audience cheered. What a great day! The annual TD Canada Trust warm-up jersey auction finalized the winning bidders. This year $4,555 was raised with proceeds split between the Petes' Education Fund and Camp Kawartha.
