"Kids
Day" Event
"Kids
Day" Free Event in May 2007 was a great success
for Health, Safety and Environment in it's 2nd Year
held at The Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre. The
participants doubled to 3,000 in 2007. The purpose of
"Kids Day" is to teach kids the importance
of being active, feeling safe in our community and exploring
our natural environment. It is a great hands-on event
with 32 interactive activities for kids in educational,
fun workshops that raise awareness about health, safety
and the environment. "Kids Day" was once again
a rewarding and successful endeavour that benefits families
with children and the entire Peterborough Community.
Last year, "Kids Day" raised $2,717.00 for
"Camp Kawartha" through both a jump-start
and donation boxes. TD Canada Trust sponsored and partnered
with "Kids Day" with proceeds to go to "Camp
Kawartha", a non-profit organization dedicated
to outdoor educational adventure programs and camp life.
Kids were chosen from Kawartha Haliburton Children's
Aid Society and Big Brothers and Big Sisters to go to
"Camp Kawartha" Summer/Nature Camp in August
2007 on Clear Lake in the Kawarthas.
Multimediate developed, implemented and sponsored the
event, coordinating sponsorships/ advertising/ promotions/
